The workshop which started on the 27th of November, 2018 kicked off with the introduction of Key Speakers and Attendees by Mr Frank Adjei, the Project Accountant of the Association of African Universities (AAU). This was then proceeded by a series of teachings by the Key Facilitator, Prof Frimpong on the “Evolving and Dynamic Role of the 21st Century Accountant.” In the course of the days following, participants (drawn from different parts of Africa) were trained in various areas ranging from Resource Mobilization, Enterprise Development to Research Proposal Writing and a refresher course on Understanding and Preparation of Basic Financial Statements as well as Financial Statement Analysis. The World Bank is scheduled to pay a supervisory visit to the Centre of Excellence in Reproductive Health Innovation (CERHI), University of Benin on the 28th and 29th of September, 2018. It all started with a courtesy visit to the management team of the University of Benin. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. F.F.O. Orumwense (FNSE), who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Admin, Prof. Ehiorobu welcomed the delegation from CERHI and World Bank supervisory team the great University of Benin.

VISIT BY THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY OF NUC TO CERHI

17th October, 2017 featured a visit by the Executive Secretary of NUC, Professor Abubakar Rasheed to the Centre of Excellence in Reproductive Health Innovation, University of Benin. A visit to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor F.F.O Orumwense was made and the NUC team were warmly received. A visit to the CERHI facility was made were the NUC officials took a tour around the ultramodern building and afterwards proceeded to the conference room to discuss pressing issues at hand. The CERHI team on the other hand made their presentation with the Centre leader, Professor Friday Okonofua leading the team alongside the Co-Centre leader, Professor Obehi Okojie.
